Jack first met the elusive woman at an art exhibition in New York. She was looking intensely at a painting by Frida Kahlo, and he found himself captivated by her. He was nervous and unsure of himself, and their conversation only lasted a few brief sentences until she moved on into the crowd at the gallery. But he was fascinated, and it was the start of a fantasy and an obsession.
